In a bid to comply with International sovereignty, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas says his national authority will issue State of Palestine passports.
Abbas says this will happen in about a year at most, replacing the name Palestinian Authority, with State of Palestine.
The Greek parliament voted in a resolution recognising the state of Palestine making it the latest European legislative body to do so.
“In terms of production of a passport in the name of the State of Palestine, we are about to proceed with the replacement of the existing document and to replace it with a new passport within a year. Maybe less. We have to change all the headers of documents issued by ministries and public services. They are now printed on behalf of the State of Palestine. Now we no longer accept that anyone who uses the term Palestinian Authority. “
